Sony and Sky to deliver video on demand to PSP
|
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Sky have formed a joint venture company to deliver video-on-demand to PSP owners.
The new company promises to begin by offering "a wealth of video and film content" for the more than 2.3 million PSP owners in the UK and Ireland, with discussions regarding a broader European offering ongoing.

Sony confirms PSP price cut for US
|
But no word on plans for Europe
A spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has confirmed to ShoutOutGaming.Com that the price of the PSP has been cut in the US.
Until this week, the Core PSP pack retailed for USD 199.99 (EUR 150 / GBP 100). However, it will now carry a price tag of USD 169.99 (EUR 130 / GBP 85).

Planet Moon to develop Sega classic for PSP
|
Planet Moon Studios has been signed up by SEGA to redevelop a classic series for the PlayStation Portable, although neither company will be drawn on the name.
Best known for PC title Giants: Citizen Kabuto and PC/Xbox action-comedy Armed & Dangerous, Planet Moon announced in 2004 that it was refocusing exclusively on PSP development. Since then the company has been responsible for third-person action title Infected.

PSP needs more new titles, says LocoRoco creator
|
LocoRoco creator Tsutomu Kouno has told ShoutOutGaming.Com that too many of the games available for PSP are sequels - and that he plans to redress the balance.
Speaking at the Nordic Game conference earlier this week Kouno said, "We need to make more new games for PSP, not just sequels. We have to increase the number of casual games, games that LocoRoco players will want to play."

Ubisoft signs three-game publishing and distribution agreement with Taito

Ubisoft has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Taito to publish and distribute three games in North America and Europe during 2006.
The first game covered by the agreement is PSP puzzle action title Exit, which was released in Japan earlier this year. Exit will be released in February.
