Posted on Tuesday, October 13 @ 00:00:00 CDT by Luke

Guilds/ Units/ Organizations PushButton Labs has acquired the rights to The Incredible Machine, a classic physics and puzzle series first published in 1992.

The original game was co-designed by Jeff Tunnell, PushButton's co-founder, who has expressed his excitement on being able to work on the game once more.

“TIM was a genre defining franchise and I could not be happier to have the property available to PushButton Labs. I'm very excited to see what we can do with it moving forward,” he said.

Tunnell designed the game, which went on to win several prizes, alongside Chris Cole and the pair subsequently went on to design spin-off Sid & Al's Incredible Toons. Millions of units of the original game and its various sequels were sold.

In addition to his work on The Incredible Machine, Tunnell has co-founded several gamning companies, including Dynamix in 1984, and Garage Games in 2001. PushButton Labs was formed by the designer in 2008.
